And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right.

This quote to me is saying you shouldn't always be questioning.

But what you should really see and focus in is in if your doing a right or if you really are making a good decision where you're not gonna harm anyone. You should always think about it before doing it so that later on you won't be having regrets about it, or that feeling in your conscience.
